PLANETARY COUNCIL. A SATIRICAL FARCE IN THE ASTEROID BELT.

A surreal conversation among the Presidents of the Planetary Federation "At the Edge of the Galaxy".

Dedicated to all people who suffer and die due to the injustices and the horrors inflicted by mankind.

Plot

Planet Gaia/Juno had been plagued for centuries by overpopulation, pollution, misery, bestial violence, and 20 billion fools who lived only for Fakebook.

After the first space travel, mankind began to establish colonies on all the other planets in the solar system Sol, an insignificant yellow star at the edge of the galaxy, to escape from the hell of Gaia.

The colonies prospered and gave birth to a new mankind.

The Planetary Council, chaired by Zeus, holds an extraordinary meeting to decide what to do with the inhabitants of Gaia.


All the Presidents of the member planets are present.

Invited as observers, are the President of the planetoid Hades/Pluto and of some satellites, as executors of special assignments.


The Council decides not to destroy Gaia, but to eradicate mankind, and put the hens, who are more intelligent than humans, in charge of the planet.

Starring

Zeus/Jupiter, the merciless father of the gods. If I get you, you’ll be in real troubles...

Gaia/Juno, the Queen of the gods. Where all the fools in the galaxy were born.

Hermes/Mercury/Thoth, the god of wisdom, the messenger of the gods. The ignorant fool.


Aphrodite/Venus, the goddess of love and all sexual perversions. The atheist mantis.

Ares/Mars, the god of war. If I come I'll destroy everything ...

Chronos/Saturn, the god of time. There will come a day ...

Poseidon/Neptune, the god of the sea and water. Saint John it rained last night, Saint Matthew it rained last night, Saint Luke it rained last night...

Co-Starring

The planetoid Hades/Pluto, the guardian of the cage for the captured criminals.

And the satellites:


Apollo, the god of the Sun, Artemis’ brother, the chap with the arrows. The criminals’ hunter.


Artemis/Diana, the goddess of the Moon, Apollo’s sister, the girl with the sword. The criminals’ huntress.

Athena/Minerva, the protectress of the Moroccan girls.

Dike, the goddess of justice. Summary.


Dionysus/Bacchus, the god of all messes. The champion of wine and champagne.


Hephaestus/Vulcan, the god of fire. He burnt all of Rome, that was not funny!

 FOUR-MINUTES LONG STANDING OVATION FOR PRESIDENT SERGIO MATTARELLA. Yesterday, 7 December 2022, Maestro Riccardo Chailly inaugurated the 2022/2023 season at La Scala in Milan, and conducted Modest Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov”. Upon his entrance to the “Royal Box”, the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella was welcomed by a four-minutes long standing ovation. The audience, 2,000 selected guests (politicians, artists, Nobel Prize winners, musicians, journalists, etc.) kept on shouting ‘“GRAZIE PRESIDENTE” and “BRAVO”.
